Due to Highway and Turnpike weight Regulations each student is only allowed to bring one personal item such as a backpack or laptop bag and one suitcase that can fit in the luggage compartment below the bus. You can purchase an extra bag ticket in the menu above.

DEPARTURE: **Saturday December 21st**The bus will start boarding at Wilder Hall at 9:20AM set to leave at 10AM sharp please make sure you give yourself enough time to board, load luggage and grab some snacks that we will be passing out (bagels,chips,water). There will be multiple buses and vans there that day but we will have the Shuttle U Home bus marked clearly, and a check list to make sure every student who signed up is on the right bus.

STOPS ALONG THE WAY: The bus will be making (2) 15-20 minute stops along the way the first stop will be at the Pilot Travel Center located at 1742 Rich Hwy, DuBois, PA 15801 and the second stop will be WAWA located at 1-17 PA-940, White Haven, PA 18661. If any students wish to make one of these stops their final destination PLEASE let us know so we can add you to the drop off list.

ARRIVAL: The bus is planning to arrive at NYC Penn Station around 6PM exact drop off location will be W34th St between 7th and 8th avenue on the North side of the street.

 

RETURN TRIP **Sunday February 2nd** boarding will begin at 11:20am leaving at 12pm sharp

 

**Please note we are operating the shuttle based on passenger count so these tickets are non refundable nor creditable.**

  1. I think the 22nd is a Sunday–did you mean Sunday the 22nd or Saturday the 21st?

  2. Will you be planning any early January shuttles from NYPenn back to campus for Winter Term as well?

    • Hi Pam-did you make alternate plans for your Obie’s return to campus for winter term? We have used Amtrak a couple of times.

  4. Our son is a 1st Year and we were very happy with the r/trip service over Fall break between Oberlin Penn Station, NYC. Much less expensive than air fare, and only 2 ~ 3 hours longer, depending on traffic, TSA delays, and final destination/origination near EWR/LGA/Penn Station.

    IF there was a critical mass of New Jersey families . . . .
    an intermediate stop somewhere between I-287 and WillowBrook Mall
    along I-80/US-46 could make it a lot more convenient than NYCity
    for pick-up’s and drop-off’s for NJ’ians.
    (I realize this would slow the trip down to/from NYC by 10 minutes or more, so it would only make sense if there were a sizable number that wanted this)

    • The bus driver stays the night outside the city in NJ as well we can possibly have the hotel he stays at be an additional stop if it’s easier for some parents. I will work on getting this figured out before the 25th

      • We would be happy for an NJ stop outside NYC, if that’s a possibility.

        • Hi Sorry for getting back to you so late our driver stays the night in Lyndhurst NJ at the Quality Inn if you want your student to get off here please let us know address is 10 Polito Ave, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. HOWEVER this is subject to change so we will update this as we get closer to the depature date

  5. I have a credit from ShuttleHome from a year ago. How can I apply this credit to the Dec 21 ride home to NYC for my son?

    • We are a different company shuttle home stopped running last year your credit wouldn’t be valid for our shuttles

  7. We purchased a ticket in early December but never got a confirmation. Do we need to worry?
    Also, our kid will be getting off/ on in White Haven PA.

  10. The Feb 2nd “return” trip back to Oberlin from PennSta loads at 11:20am’ish and leaves at Noon, yes?

    Only asking, because that is a later time than the previous bus departures.

  11. Can we change next years bus ride home to Saturday? The dorms are open on Saturday and it would be better for the kids to get back 1 day earlier to finalize their schedules and unpack. Thanks. Very happy with the service. ALSO , WHAT STREET DO THEY MEET ON, MY SON SAID THE BUS KEPT MOVING AROUND SO HER HAD TO CHASE THE BUS WHEN THEY RETURNED FROM THE Thanksgiving break

    Penn Station between 34th and 7th Avenue on north side of street

    Boarding starts at 1130am

    There must be a problem with the event start server we will look into the issue
